Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 1, 2026

Ironnorth Media ("Ironnorth Media," "we," "us," or "our") operates ironnorthmedia.ca (the "Site") and provides revenue recovery systems and automation services to home service businesses. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information. By using this Site or engaging our services, you agree to this Policy.

We are based in Surrey, British Columbia, Canada, and this Policy is intended to comply with British Columbia's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA), the federal Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) where applicable, and Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL).

Information We Collect

Information you give us directly:

Name, business name, email address, phone number, and mailing address when you contact us, request a consultation, or sign up for our services

Payment and billing information when you become a client

Information you submit through contact forms or the chat widget on this Site

Opt-in records and consent timestamps when you sign up to receive text messages or other communications from us

Information collected automatically:

Standard web analytics (pages visited, browser type, general location, time on site) via cookies and similar technologies, used to understand how visitors use the Site

SMS / Text Messaging Consent

If you opt in to receive text messages from Ironnorth Media (through our website chat widget or another opt-in method), you are consenting to receive promotional and marketing text messages from Ironnorth Media at the mobile number provided.

Opt-In & Consent

You will only receive text messages from us if you have explicitly opted in.

We keep timestamped records of all SMS opt-in actions and the consent given.

We comply with Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL) and applicable telecommunications regulations, including the U.S. Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) where applicable.

Opt-Out Instructions

You can opt out at any time by replying STOP.

You'll receive a one-time confirmation that you've been unsubscribed, and no further messages will be sent unless you opt in again.

Opt-out requests are processed immediately and, in all cases, within 10 business days.

Message Frequency & Content

Message frequency varies based on your interactions with us.

We only send the type of message you've opted in to receive, and do not send unrelated promotional content without your specific consent.

Help & Support

Reply HELP to any message for assistance, or contact us at [email protected].

Support is available during regular business hours.

Carrier Information

Standard message and data rates may apply.

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Our messaging program works across major Canadian wireless carriers (Bell, Rogers, Telus, and regional carriers) and U.S. carriers where applicable.

We will not share or sell your mobile phone number or SMS opt-in consent with any third party or affiliate for their own marketing or promotional purposes. This applies regardless of any other data-sharing described elsewhere in this Policy — text messaging opt-in data is excluded from all other sharing categories, except with subcontractors and service providers (such as our SMS aggregator or CRM platform) solely for the purpose of delivering the messages you've consented to receive. Those providers are contractually bound to use this data only for that purpose.

Information We Handle on Behalf of Our Clients

A significant part of our work involves processing personal information that belongs to our clients' customers — for example, contact records, call logs, appointment details, and past-customer lists that our clients provide or that flow through the systems we build for them.

In these cases, Ironnorth Media acts as a service provider on the client's behalf, not as the owner of that information. Specifically:

The client remains responsible for their own customers' personal information and for having obtained valid consent to collect and use it

We use client customer data only to deliver the services we've been engaged to provide, and for no other purpose

We do not use client customer data for our own marketing, do not sell it, and do not share it with other clients or third parties except as needed to operate the services

We return or delete client customer data on request following the end of an engagement, subject to any legal retention obligations

Individuals who want access to, correction of, or deletion of their information should contact the business they dealt with directly; if you contact us instead, we'll refer you to the relevant client

How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to:

Respond to inquiries and provide requested information

Deliver and support the services you've engaged us for

Send service-related communications (billing, account updates)

Send marketing communications you've opted in to receive

Improve our website and services

How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with:

Service providers who help us operate (e.g., GoHighLevel, our CRM and delivery platform, and payment processors), bound to use your information only to provide services to us

Legal authorities, if required by law or to protect our rights

We do not share SMS opt-in data with any third party for their marketing purposes, as described above.

Some of our service providers (including our CRM/telephony platform) store and process data on servers located in the United States. By using our Site or services, you acknowledge that your information will be transferred to and processed outside of Canada, where it may be subject to the laws of that jurisdiction.

Cookies

This Site may use cookies for basic functionality. You can disable cookies through your browser settings; some site features may not work as intended if you do. We do not currently use third-party analytics tracking.

Data Security

We take reasonable steps to protect the personal information we hold, using security measures appropriate to its sensitivity, but no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security.

If we become aware of a security breach involving personal information that creates a real risk of significant harm, we'll notify affected individuals and any applicable regulator without unreasonable delay. Where the breach involves information we hold on behalf of a client, we'll notify that client promptly so they can meet their own obligations.

How Long We Keep Information

We keep personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes it was collected, or as required by law. Where we've used your personal information to make a decision that directly affects you, we retain it for at least one year afterward so you have a reasonable opportunity to request access to it. Business and financial records are retained as required by Canadian tax and corporate record-keeping obligations. When information is no longer needed, we destroy, erase, or anonymize it.

Commercial Electronic Messages (CASL)

We send commercial electronic messages — emails and text messages — only to recipients who have given express or implied consent under Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation. Every commercial message we send identifies Ironnorth Media as the sender, includes our contact information, and provides a working unsubscribe mechanism that remains valid for at least 60 days. We action unsubscribe requests within 10 business days. We maintain records of consent as required.

Your Rights

You may request access to and correction of your personal information, and may withdraw consent or unsubscribe from marketing communications (including text messages, via STOP) at any time. We'll respond to access requests within 30 days as required by PIPA.

We'll delete personal information on request where we're able to, but some information must be retained to meet legal, tax, contractual, or record-keeping obligations, or where it's needed to resolve a dispute. We'll tell you if that's the case and explain why.

To make a request, contact us at the email below.

If you have concerns about how we've handled your personal information that we haven't resolved to your satisfaction, you may file a complaint with British Columbia's Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner (OIPC) at oipc.bc.ca.

Children's Privacy

This Site and our services are directed to businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we've inadvertently collected information from a child, contact us and we'll delete it.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
